ABOUT
Hello, I’m Amandeep, pronounced Uh-man-deep.
I’m a British-Indian, born into a Punjabi-Sikh family. My parents are from Punjab, India, and I was raised in the Midlands before settling in East London. As a second-generation migrant, I’ve learned to navigate the complex intersections of race, gender, and class. Merging the traditions and expectations of different cultures, languages, and identities hasn’t been easy, but it has shaped who I am today - a fierce advocate for justice, inclusivity, and real change. And I’m deeply proud of my British-Indian heritage.
I’ve never been one to take the easy road. Growing up with little meant I learned resilience early. From an early age I learnt how to push back against expectations and stand firm for what’s right, even when it meant standing alone. I’ve faced challenges and resistance head on, questioned traditions and the status quo to build a life and career rooted in purpose and integrity. I ask the questions others shy away from and sought solutions that inspire lasting transformation My journey has taught me that change is possible, and it’s worth the effort.
At 30, I made one of my bravest decisions: quitting my job, giving up everything to travel the world solo for a year and a half. It was transformational, deepening my curiosity, broadening my perspective and strengthening my resilience, and expanded my global perspective. These life experiences continue to shape my work and my commitment to inspire and empower others.
